JW Installations and Westrup join forces in the UK

Our parent company JW Installations UK Ltd and Westrup A/S are joining forces to offer customers in the UK more than 90 years design and manufacture expertise in the seed and grain machinery industry.

JW Installations has won the UK contract to distribute Westrup equipment. Known worldwide as one of the leading manufacturers in seed and grain cleaning and processing lines, Westrup offers more sizes and types of seed machines than any competitor.

For JW Installations the partnership will further boost the range of machinery and services they can offer customers. The company already owns Allmet Grain Driers and exclusively distribute Tornum AB products in the UK as well as supplying Skandia handling equipment and Kongskilde products.

JW Installations’ Director James White said: “We are thrilled to be expanding with the well-known and well-established brand of Westrup. Their high quality, reliable machinery complements the trusted ranges we already offer and provides more choice and additional bespoke solutions for our customers. Also, because the machinery can handle any type of crop including grass seed, malting barley, spices, vegetable seeds and cotton we can now also reach out to new industries such as laboratories and recycling plants.”

Both companies share similar beginnings forged from family enterprises – one in England and the other in Denmark. JW Installations was founded by father and son, John and James White and is now run by James and his brother Charles. Westrup was founded by brothers, Knud and Troels Westrup. Both have strong, solid foundations offering user friendly, robust and efficient service solutions based on customer satisfaction, innovation and partnership working.

Fellow Director at JW Installations, Charles White added: “Westrup can be assured that their products are in safe hands with JW Installations. We have an extensive customer base and a sound infrastructure with experienced and diligent sales, installation and after care work force, allowing us to deliver a first rate service. This partnership really does optimize products and services for customers.”

Torben Jepsen of Westrup said: “At Westrup we are absolutely confident that joining forces with JW Installations will be beneficial for both agricultural and agro-industrial businesses in the UK. As an end-user you will always look into what your supplier can offer, not only in the sales process, but also when it comes to planning, installation and after sales. JW Installations has exactly the infrastructure that ensures an excellent sales and after sales service to customers.

“Furthermore, JW Installations closely co-operates with well-established contractors and installation companies that can offer high-quality Westrup grain cleaning and seed processing solutions to the end-users in the UK.”

Allmet take DV Grain Spear to Midlands Machinery Show

Allmet will be exhibiting the DV hydraulic grain sampling spear, alongside their range of grain driers, at the Midlands Machinery Show next week (12th and 13th November).

DV of Italy have been manufacturing grain samplers since 1987 and Allmet are now pleased to be able to offer supply, installation and maintenance of the DV grain sampler.

Allmet Director Charles White said: "Whether you are selling or buying grain it's important to have accurate information about the quality of your consignment, so you can ensure it's meeting market specifications.

"The Stork 440 Compact Sampler, which we will have on display at the show, is the fastest, easiest and safest way to sample grain from an open trailer. It comes pre-assembled so is easy to install and is suitable for cereals, flours, rice, seeds and straights. The sampler has the option of two different probes, double suction and spiral and delivers samples up to 100 meters. This is an essential piece of equipment for large farms, grain stores and mills and complements our range of Allmet driers and associated handling equipment."

Visitors to the Midland Machinery Show can find Allmet amongst the outside exhibitors on stand A5.

Customers set to benefit from Grain Drier Manufacturer Alliance

Allmet, one of the UK's longest established grain drier manufacturers has formed a strategic business relationship with one of Europe's largest grain drier manufacturers, Tornum AB.

The alliance will see Allmet and Tornum sharing expertise and resources for the UK market to focus on product research and development, whilst at the same time maintaining their autonomy.

Allmet Director, Charles White said: "By working together our customers will benefit from improved technology, market leading products and new innovations. Building smart relationships has always made good business sense and Tornum were an obvious choice as we share the same ethos of developing tailor made, customer driven solutions."

Both companies offer a one stop shop for grain drying, handling and storage, from in-house design and consultancy through to manufacture, installation and aftercare. The union between the British and Swedish businesses will not only allow a two way exchange of knowledge and skills but also provide increased operational efficiencies.

Fellow Allmet Director, James White added: "We share an enthusiasm for building a successful relationship with Tornum. The first exciting development from this collaboration will be the launch of a new Allmet range of industrial grain driers for the UK market in the new year, with capacities of up to 300t/hour. We will also be expanding our manufacturing facilities at our HQ in Northallerton."

Tornum Managing Director, Per Larsson, said: "Tornum and Allmet know the grain drying business. Together we can play to our strengths to deliver the best service and best product for both the agricultural and industrial market."

Charles and James White are looking forward to sharing more information about the collaboration and drier developments with existing and new customers visiting LAMMA '15.

All kitted out thanks to Allmet

Allmet has helped to ensure their local school football team can step onto the pitch in style with the donation of a football strip.

The family run company came to the aid of youngsters at Bolton-on-Swale St Mary's Church of England Primary School.

Company Director James White said: "Sports kit can be quite costly and we wanted to encourage the pupils interest in sport. We also wanted to mark our diamond jubilee and we felt supporting a local school football team was a great way to give something back to the community that has supported Allmet over the past 60 years. We hope the new gear will help to bolster their confidence and pride on the playing field."

The strip will be worn by boys and girls aged between 8 and 11 years old, playing for the school's 6-a-side football squad.

Head Teacher Mrs Dobson said: “We have a very strong sporting community here in the school and are so proud of our recent sporting achievement. I’d like to say a big thank you to our sponsors, Allmet.”

Mr McManus who is the school’s head of PE added “The children are all very proud to represent our school when playing sport. The new football kit will make sure the children look smart and have a new smart identity while playing for the school.
