Allmet was commissioned to design, supply and install a new grain drier plant on a green field site for Warter Priory Estates. In conjunction with S & A fabrications a new 15,000 t store was erected including plant house and intake building
Goole Drier Plant
Project:Grain drier plant and store for estate in Goole
In 2013 Allmet were commissioned to replace the Co-operative Farms 30-year old equipment at their estate in Goole, with a new intake system, grain drier and conveying equipment. A new shed was also erected.
The new facility features a 200 tonne bunker with a 14m intake trough below and a further 600 tonnes of undercover wet grain storage. This can also be used as a dry grain store at the end of the season.
Included is a new 44 tonne lorry loading silo allowing dry grain to be loaded straight from the drier onto trucks.
Burton Agnes Drier Plant
Project:Grain drier plant and store near Driffield
Installation of a major grain drying plant for Burton Agnes Estate near Driffield. The main cropping on the estate is milling wheat and Julian Reed, farm manager for Burton Agnes was keen to have a grain drier which would maintain a reasonable throughput despite drying at a lower temperature. The Allmet A69156 was specifically chosen to meet these requirements along with Skandia grain handling equipment and a Bentall Rowlands wet grain silo to buffer the combined crop prior to drying.
